Kerala is situated in South of India and is known for the origin of Ayurveda, the mother of all medicines and Kalaripayattu, the oldest martial art. Kerala is known for its long lovely beaches with coconut palms and rubber plantations and is often referred to as the Green Kerala, “God’s Own Country”.

Ayurveda, the mother of all medicines
The aim of Ayurveda is to optimise the physical and physical wellbeing for one as a person, the society and environment and to prevent damage in the future. Ayurveda classifies a person according to ones humors and energies and the treatment will be specified according to that. An Ayurvedic treatment is based on special medicated oils, applied and/or taken orally, medicines based on herbs and minerals. Diet and healing movements (yoga) are also used in conjunction with the above. The ayurvedic massage differs from all other massages as the oils are medicated and special for different persons and purposes. A very special form of massage is when the masseur is using the feet to gain deeper and longer strokes, for better control.
